The Education Foundation of New Berlin is accepting applications for
The Extra Lap Scholarship
This multi-year award of $2,000 (to be paid in four installments of $500 each) will be made to one deserving, female graduating senior at New Berlin West High School. Installments will be paid annually, or per semester if attending a 2-year program, to attend any accredited post-secondary institution (such as: trade or vocational school, college, or university). Awards will be paid directly to the institution the student is attending upon proof of enrollment and is in good standing for subsequent terms.
The Extra Lap Scholarship - For a player or teammate who goes “The Extra Lap”. The recipient is someone who is hardworking, resilient, and always puts her team first while overcoming her own personal challenges. She puts in the extra effort to maximize her personal performance in order to better her team and teammates. She overcame personal challenges and has a lot of passion and grit. Please provide an example of a time or times you went “The Extra Lap.”
To qualify for consideration students must:
be a female student eligible for graduation at New Berlin West
have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA,
participate in an extracurricular activity (ie: sports/band),
submit a letter of recommendation from a coach or teacher
submit an essay demonstrating how their passion, grit, resilience and hard work made them go “The Extra Lap”.
Scholarships shall be granted based on a combination of factors demonstrated in this application.
Applicants must submit the application materials online prior to the deadline (04/22/2024 at 11:59 PM). Applications are available through the Waukesha County Community Foundation Scholarship Portal, Students will create an account, complete an eligibility quiz, and then have access to the application.
