Why was the Education Foundation of New Berlin created?

Public school funding is complicated and often results in budget shortfalls that do not leave enough funds to cover programs and activities that are above-and-beyond the classroom curriculum. Between uncertain enrollments and a difficult state funding formula, there is a clear need for public-private partnerships to support our public schools. With support from private donors we are able to contribute to programming that makes the School District of New Berlin an award winning public school system.

Why should I support the Education Foundation of New Berlin?

By supporting the Education Foundation of New Berlin you are helping to provide above and beyond programming to all students throughout the School District of New Berlin. Activities ranging from arts, to STEM programs, sports, clubs, extra-curriculars and co-curriculars, all help students find something that engages them and offers a personal path to future success. These programs are all important and they all cost money that is often not available through traditional public school budgets. By providing financial support to the Education Foundation of New Berlin, you are helping to ensure that excellence in education continues to extend beyond the typical classroom curriculum. And, as a registered non-profit, you typically are entitled to enjoy the tax benefits from your donation!

A recent study conducted by Realtor.com found that neighborhoods with public schools that rank “above average” have a 49% higher home value when compared to the national median home value (based on ratings from greatschools.org). Our district consistently “significantly exceeds” expectations according to state issued report cards. Our public schools function not only as educational facilities but as community centers that help to create strong bonds among the residents of New Berlin. Choosing to support a vibrant and thriving public school system not only allows students to work to their highest potential but also helps to attract young families and professionals to our community.
